Bitumen-sprayer BCM-65 is designed for transportation and spraying of hot and cold organic
binders during construction, repairs and maintenance of automobile roads, for surface treatment,
impregnation, damp course of foundations, pipe culverts and roofing.
Available charge-discharge operations of Bitumen-Sprayer BCM-65:
When using a folding beam a discrete change of spraying width of binding material : a possibility
of setting the spraying width = 4,2 m; 3,5 m; 3,2 m; 2,5 m, and also a possibility to extend the
spraying bar by means of extra insertions up to 5 m and possibility of decreasing the spraying width
down to 0,5 m by means of the nozzles shut-off. When using an expanding beam the spraying width
can be extended by sliding from 2 to 5 m and can be decreased to 0,5m by means of the nozzles
Automatic keeping up the set consumption of binding material when changing the spraying width
(feedback between a pressure sensor and a bitumen pump drive making it possible to keep up the
constant pressure inside the spray system when changing the spraying width).
Even distribution of the binding material is achieved by the special nozzle design being at an angle
to the distribution line and the triple or double (depending on height of the spray bar) tapers overlap
of the distributed material.
Height level of the spray bar during the operation can be adjusted by the control board.
Cleaning system (of the spray bar and the piping) - air blowing makes it possible to eliminate a residue of the binding material taking it back to the tank, washing the bitumen pump with diesel fuel. If it’s required (when changing one type of the binding material for another one and when the bitumen sprayer being put into conservation) the entire spraying system is washed with the diesel fuel.

Heating system by diesel burner with automatic shut-off when the set temperature is achieved and
control of the burning action (overlap of the fuel pipeline when the fire gone out), the control is made
by a photocell sensor.
The bitumen sprayer is equipped by a gas burner ( a domestic gas bellow with propane + a gas burner ).
Dosage precision : + 10%.
Power of the mounted diesel engine 47,8 kW that makes it possible to ensure the most effective
execution of all operations of the binding material spray with small overall dimensions.
Control of the binding material spray is made by the fixed control board ( the rear pad of the bitumen
sprayer ) and from the remote board which can be mounted inside a truck - tractor cabin. The dosage
method is based on dependence of the consumption of the binding material on pressure inside the
spraying system, while the set pressure is kept up inside the spraying system automatically and
independently of changing the width of the spray bar. A dependence of density of the binding
material spray on the pressure and on the travel speed of the bitumen sprayer is given in tables
existed for every type nozzle.
All the information makes it possible to determine the consumption of the binding material per one square meter with precision of + 10%.
There is a possibility of manual spraying the binding material by a washdown spray wand when repairing the narrow road surface or embedding cracks and potholes.
